Delta Performing Arts Academy has become a beloved cornerstone of Brentwood’s performing arts community, offering high-quality productions and a supportive environment where kids can grow both onstage and off. Known for their professional-level shows, experienced creative team, and family-centered atmosphere, DPAA gives young performers a place to build confidence, friendships, and lifelong skills. Whether your child is stepping into theater for the first time or already can’t stop singing and dancing at home, DPAA meets kids exactly where they are and helps them shine.
This season, DPAA is thrilled to announce auditions for their upcoming elementary-level production of Honk Jr., a comedic, heartwarming musical based on “The Ugly Duckling.” Filled with charming characters, upbeat songs, and a story about celebrating what makes us unique, Honk Jr. is the perfect show for young actors ready to express themselves in a fun, encouraging setting.

The production will be directed by Anne Andrego, a longtime music educator in the area who has inspired countless students through her years of teaching. Anne is known for her patient, nurturing approach and her ability to bring out the very best in young performers.
Auditions for Honk Jr. are open to elementary school students, and no prior theater experience is required. The process is welcoming and low-pressure, giving kids the chance to show their personality while trying something new. Cast members will rehearse weekly beginning in January, leading up to a fully staged production in April.
